Space Planner is a versatile Grasshopper plugin designed to enhance the efficiency of architectural space planning and design. This plugin dramatically enhances efficiency by offering user-friendly tools to facilitate the creation of color-coded plan layouts, making the process of adding room labels and calculating areas more intuitive and streamlined.

• Features:

Space Planner is composed of two key components: the Layer Picker and the Room Generator. Designed for ease of use, this plugin simplifies the space planning and design process, making it accessible even to those with limited Grasshopper experience. Key features include:

Layer Picker Component:

1. Allows users to select one or multiple layers for design.
2. Provides an easy-to-use interface for layer selection.
3. Integrates smoothly with the Room Generator for a cohesive workflow.

Room Generator Component:

1. Constantly updates with newly drawn curve objects in input layers, converting them into new room boundaries.
2. Incorporates a user interface, accessible by pressing the "Alt" key, for dynamic customization of room colors, labels, and the option to hide labels for specific rooms.
3. Automatically places room labels in the most suitable locations.
4. Generates bakeable room objects, which include color hatches, text annotations for room labels, and areas.
5. Enables users to customize room boundary thickness and the offset for wall placement, allowing for distinct treatment of various exterior and interior walls.

• Installation Process:

Installing Space Planner is straightforward:

1. Download the plugin from the Food4Rhino website.
2. Drag and drop the .gha file into the Grasshopper canvas.
3. Ensure the components are installed under the ‘SpacePlanner’ tab.

Or:

1. Type '"PackageManager" in the Rhino command prompt.
2. In the Package Manager window, search for 'Space Planner'.
3. Install Space Planner and restart Rhino to complete the installation.
